Day 11

Yes! A sleep in finally!!! But one after a long night again!!!

Today the sessions were about going over the road map AIESEC had created for 2010. The idea was to include the milestones that are now really important, for the following years for the organization to reach its goals. After these, there was the legislation talks again to prepare us for the next day.

Everything seems to be going fine. Tonight there is the White Party...that is MENA and Africa joined together. I wonder what this night will hold in store...(beach or no beach???)

Day 10

Yes, the CEE party was great. Yes we ended on the beach again. And yes! we nearly did not wake up in time! Please keep in mind the word nearly which means that in the end we made it.

Today we had the Sales Academy, which included a number of workshops happening in the morning. It was very interesting as there were a number of externals facilitating these sessions and it was gerat seeing their views of how they perceived AIESEC - especially the alumni who had been members of AIESEC during the late 50s - early 60s.

We then had the legislation preparation talks as well as the dialogues with the supervisory group. These were very technical sessions in preparation to what is happening in legislation in 2 days time. And then, in the evening, gala night and ING Awards, as well as the AI Director Announcements.

The gala night was a blast. Great food, great friends, great atmosphere...and sing-a-long nusic! All you'd need then would be sparklers!!! Oh! Wait. We had them...hehe.

The AI directors who have been selected are: JC, Tamer, Shirley, Rob, Ivn,, and Juan. It was very difficult t have this selection as there was 2 candidates. But at this point half the AI tem has been selected, the next up are the VPs

Anyway, off to the party, if there is one, and I guess if there is not we go to one place...the beach!

Day 9

Yes! the WENA party was great...and like always, since the party was a GREAT one it meant that a late night followed after. Since a beach is connected to this hotel it has become a very natural custom to end up there to burn iyt the remaining energy after the parties.

However, then it is time to wake up for sessions (for those who d wake up). But I have to say it was an interesting day for all MCPs both elects and curents - its just that the elects had to work a bit more than the currents.

The elects have been playing the samurai game. the game is an amazing game that helps the individual to learn self-control, self-discipline and deep thought. it shows that in life, things come our way, nd it is up to us, to make best use of them. Not everything may turn out the way we want it but o doesn't mean that we can't make it a great experience.

The currents had a session called unleashing you potential for the rest of th term. But t was moer like unleashing one's stress. Teh agenda for the day was to reflect, to relax and to converse. We did nothing more than connect and talk to other people. We set around the pool, we went for lunch, we went to the beach, we smoked shisha, we slept, we went for dinner...we were totally relaxed. Yes! it was a tough day!! For me it was good as I found some time for myself, and could take the day easy and relaxed. I think it has helped me to realize what has been achieved so far and what more I can achieve for the rest of the term.

Anyway the party tonight is the CEE party...So it will be a great one as well. Wonder if it iwll end up at the beach again...???

Day 8

Last night the official Africa party was cancelled. But still there was a little party were a few people were trying some AIESEC dances. Of course as usual DavLyn was there dancing!!!

A new day howeve has got s started on the content of IPM 2007. With the new PAI elected and the AI directos confidenced, sessions are actually starting. Starting off with Downloading and suspending patterns of the past, IS shaping a new era for AIESEC, and results of the internal audit report, as common to all and then there were te separate track, Heading for the future for the MCPs and Becoming a successfuk MCP and hosting a Successful MC team for MCP elects.

It has been a long day...like all others but this might have been felt a bit more since we were running 1 hour later than genda!!! But who cares...cos now we are off to the WENA Party!!!
Tonight te teme is simply NO F@T!!! So no AIESEC talk, no AIESEC dances, no AIESEC T-shirts, no AIESEC whatsoever!!!

See ya tomorrow...

Day 7 - The results

Well, after a night dancing salsa, cha cha and merenge, we woke up this morning to hear the speeches of AI directors. 18 individuals all aspirin to direct a region have given their best to win the global plenary's trust.

After hearing all the speeches and lunch we then had the PAI Q&A where all the PAI candidates where asked questions within GNs individually. After that came the director Q&A whic was done in GN adn the directors answered in groups.

I have to say that there was a tough selection this year. All the directors seem really good and i is very difficult to select just the needed number out of them. As for PAI, well, a lot of controversly has been raised with regards to the speeches and the Q&A might have perplexed people a bit more.

All i know that tonight we heard the last words of the PAI candidates. And gave in the votes. WE heard the last workds of the director candidates. And gave in the votes.

The results of the Global Plenary are the followng:

PAI: Gabriela Albescu

AI Directors Confidenced: All

Lars, Aron, Shirley, Juan, Ivan, Piero, Natalie, Ralph, Rob, Tamer, Sami, Marta, Monica, Denis, JC, John, Ali, Joanna and Ryan. Now it is up to the PAI to decide who he wants on the team from this group of individuals.

Now that all is finished unfortunately due to time...the Africa party has been postponed...so instead of wearing my pyjamas to the party we will wear them to bed!!!

Goodnight
